How does BPM detection work?
The audio is decoded, filtered to focus on bass frequencies (kick drums), then energy peaks are detected. The intervals between peaks are analyzed to find the most common tempo.
Is the detection always accurate?
BPM detection works best with music that has a clear rhythmic pattern. Complex or ambient music may produce less accurate results. Use the confidence indicator as a guide.
Is my audio uploaded?
No. All analysis runs locally in your browser using the Web Audio API. Nothing leaves your device.
