FAQ
What is dynamic range?
Dynamic range is the difference between the peak level and the RMS (average) level, measured in dB. Higher values indicate more dynamic variation in the audio.
How is bit depth estimated?
Bit depth is estimated from the file size relative to the duration, sample rate, and number of channels. This is an approximation since compressed formats don't have a fixed bit depth per sample.
Is my audio uploaded?
No. All analysis runs entirely in your browser using the Web Audio API. Your file never leaves your device.
